Testimonials - Shirley Morian

In 2002 I found it necessary to seek out an orthopedic surgeon from Royal Oak Beaumont Hospitals due to the back pain I was experiencing. I was so miserable I could only get relief by sleeping on the living room floor. The new expensive mattress we purchased did not help me. I made an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon, and after his examination he gave me a prescription for an MRI. However, after he read the results he told me I was not a surgical candidate at this time. In 2003 I again consulted with him because of increasing back pain. Again he did not feel at that time I needed surgery. The pain level had reached to the point that it was difficult to even carry a cup of coffee.
The third time I saw the surgeon he felt I was now a candidate for a laminectomy, which I had done in 2004. Three years later I was once again experiencing pain like a drill was going into my hip and back and was told by the back surgeon that I needed to have another laminectomy plus a spinal fusion. I asked if there was an alternative to back surgery and he gave me the number of a pain management physician. He said if that didn’t work I would need another back surgery. After two of the treatments there was still no relief. A third treatment would be my call, and I decided not to have it done.
I was boarded for another surgery. Before the date arrived the surgeon was called away on a family emergency, and the surgery date was delayed for several weeks. During that time I began to feel very apprehensive and questioned in my mind why in a three –year period my back had gotten so bad again.
Ten days prior to my surgical date that fall, our youngest son saw an ad in the Oakland Press about non-surgical procedure, and he was excited to have me look at it. It was very interesting that he saw the ad Dr. Tasco put in the newspaper, as we do not get that paper in your county. I called Dr. Tasco’s office and made an appointment. After that consultation I went home and cancelled scheduled for the following week. Indeed, God does work in mysterious ways.
After the recommended number of decompression treatments I can say there has been wonderful relief and healing, thanks to Dr. Scot Tasco and Spinal Aid Centers of America.
Visits of Dr. Tasco’s office are always welcoming, and the atmosphere there is warm and friendly. I have had chiropractic treatments for many years, but the results I have received this past years far surpass pervious adjustments. I feel very blessed by such a wonderful improvement to my health through chiropractic expertise.
